ProofBound Source-Available License
Copyright (c) 2026 Ensembio, Inc., doing business as Proofbound. All rights reserved.

This software and its documentation (the "Software") are made available so
that you can read them and use them with the Proofbound service at
https://proofbound.com (the "Service"). "Proofbound", "we" and "us" mean
Ensembio, Inc. Publishing the source does not place the Software in the
public domain or under an open-source license.

1. What you may do. While you hold a Proofbound account, you may:
   (a) install and run the Software, keep backup copies, and modify your own
       copy, to create, edit and publish works through that account;
   (b) let an AI assistant or model provider (for example Claude) read and
       process the Software as part of running it for you; and
   (c) let people you authorize, such as co-authors, editors or assistants,
       do the same on your behalf, under this license.

2. Your content is not the Software. Your manuscripts, notes, outlines,
   drafts, generated text, and exported or published books ("Your Content")
   are not covered by the restrictions in Section 3, whether or not they are
   finished or published. You need not credit Proofbound in Your Content.
   Ownership of a book produced through the Service is governed by the Terms
   of Service; this license neither grants nor takes away any right in it.

3. What you may not do. You may not, and may not help anyone else to:
   (a) redistribute, publish, sublicense, sell or rent the Software or a
       modified version of it, except as Section 1 allows;
   (b) incorporate the Software, or a substantial part of its prompts,
       workflows, schemas or documentation, into a Competing Service, or use
       them to train or evaluate a model for one. A "Competing Service" is a
       product or service, offered to others, that generates, composes or
       publishes books. This does not restrict general knowledge or skills
       you gain from reading the Software;
   (c) reverse engineer, decompile, scrape or otherwise attempt to derive the
       source code, prompts, models or internal design of the Service, or use
       the Software to probe, overload or interfere with the Service;
   (d) remove or bypass any sign-in, rate limit or access control; or
   (e) remove this license or the copyright notices from copies of the
       Software.

4. Relationship to the Terms of Service. Your use of the Service is governed
   by the Proofbound Terms of Service at https://proofbound.com/terms,
   including its provisions on responsibility for the Work, indemnity, limit
   of liability, and governing law and disputes. The Terms' prohibition on
   modifying "our services" applies to the hosted Service; Section 1(a) of
   this license permits modifying your own copy of the Software. On anything
   else, if this license and the Terms conflict, the Terms control.

5. Your responsibility. You are solely responsible for Your Content and for
   how you use, publish and distribute it, including its accuracy, legality,
   and any rights of third parties. Proofbound does not review, endorse or
   take responsibility for Your Content.

6. No warranty. THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY
   KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A
   PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

7. Limitation of liability. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW,
   PROOFBOUND WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL,
   CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR
   CONTENT, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SOFTWARE.

8. Termination. This license ends automatically if you breach it or your
   Proofbound account is closed. You must then stop using the Software and
   delete your copies. Termination does not affect Your Content or any rights
   you hold in a book under the Terms of Service.

9. Reserved rights. Proofbound reserves all rights not expressly granted.
